Supercharging System For The 1985
Carbureted Mustang
February 28, 2005 Paxton Automotive announces the 1985
Carbureted Mustang Supercharging System. This system is designed to
fit engines with the OEM serpentine accessory drive.
System details:
- Boost Pressure of 7-8 psig on a stock engine
- NOVI 2000 gear-driven supercharger provides nearly silent operation with unmatched dependability
- Complete fuel system upgrade includes mechanical fuel pump, fuel
filter and fuel lines for safe, reliable operation
- High-flow reusable air filter
- High-flow compressor bypass valve provides surge-free operation
- Inlet and discharge duct connections utilize heat resistant silicon sleeves and premium quality stainless steel clamps
- Oil feed and oil drain assemblies deliver the best possible lubrication and cooling for the supercharger, even under sustained boost conditions
- Tools included for simple modification of oil pan for supercharger
drain fitting installation
- Billet aluminum supercharger mounting bracket assembly
includes idler, drive belt and all hardware
- Supplied throttle cable assembly allows for simple
connection of the stock throttle arm to the enclosure throttle arm. Left and right hand spherical rod ends allow for simple throttle
adjustment

Installation Notes:
- This system requires the installer to install a
properly tuned 4150 style Demon carburetor (with mechanical secondaries).
A 4150 style Holley carburetor may be used however optional fuel
line assembly 8M110-100 must be purchased separately.
- A boost referenced timing retard device is suggested and available
from Paxton at an additional price.
